MedEx Ambulance Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Medical Express Ambulance Inc. D/B/A MedEx Ambulance (“MedEx Ambulance”), which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

MedEx Ambulance reported that the data breach may have impacted 118,418 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their full name; date of birth; demographic information, Social Security number, driver’s license number; medical information; financial information; and/or health insurance information, username and password. For some, passport may have been exposed.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
