Prudential Insurance Co. of America Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Prudential Insurance Company of America, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that an unauthorized third party gained access to Prudential’s network on February 4, 2024 and removed a small percentage of personal information from its systems.

Prudential reported that the data breach may have impacted 36,545 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, address, and driver's license number or non-driver identification card number.

It is unclear whether or not the driver’s license numbers or non-driver’s identification card numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
