CCM Health Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating CCM Health, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that an unauthorized individual accessed CCM’s network between April 3, 2023 and April 10, 2023, and, as a result, may have accessed and removed a number of files from CCM’s network.

CCM reported that the data breach may have impacted 29,182 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their full name and Date of Birth, Social Security Number, Medical Information and Health Insurance Information. If medical information is involved, this may include a medical record number, patient account number, prescription information, healthcare provider’s name, medical diagnosis, diagnosis code, treatment type, treatment location, treatment date, admission date, discharge date, and/or lab results.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
