City National Bank of Florida (“CNBF”) MOVEit Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating City National Bank of Florida (“CNBF”), which recently sent a Notice of Data Breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Breach arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that CNBF uses called MOVEit.

CNBF filed a report stating that the information of 40,670 individuals was affected in the Data Breach.

For impacted individuals, the information involved may have included their first and last name, date of birth, bank account number, Social Security Number, email and/or mailing addresses.

The notice does not state whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
