Medibase Group Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Medibase Group, Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

According to the notice, an incident occurred on or around January 26, 2024, during which personal information may have been affected.

Medibase reported that the data breach may have impacted 2,331 residents of South Carolina. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their full name, Social Security number, address, and outstanding balance amounts.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
