Sav-Rx Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating A&A Services d/b/a Sav-Rx, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that on October 8, 2023, Sav-Rx identified an interruption to its computer network, during which an unauthorized third party was able to access certain non-clinical systems and obtained files that contained health information.

Sav-Rx reported that the data breach may have impacted 2,812,336 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of birth, Social Security number, email address, address, phone number, eligibility data, and/or insurance identification number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
