United Association National Pension Fund MOVEit Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating United Association National Pension Fund, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the data breach arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that United Association National Pension Fund’s service provider uses called MOVEit.

United Association National Pension Fund reported that the cybersecurity incident impacted 9,088 individuals.

For each of these 9,088 individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
