Universal Lenders Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Universal Lenders, LLC which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Universal Lenders reported that the data breach may have impacted 19,575 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number information, driver’s license number, and/or financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number).

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
