Venture Transportation Partners, LLC Notice of Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Venture Transportation Partners, LLC (“Venture”), which recently sent a Notice of Data Breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Breach arose when certain portions of their network were acquired by an unauthorized individual.

Venture reported that the Data Breach affected 9,339 individuals.

For each of these 9,339 individuals, the information involved may have included their first and last name, date of birth, driver’s license/state issued identification number, financial account information, credit/debit card information, medical information, health insurance information, and/or Social Security number.

The notice does not state whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
