API Financial Solutions, Inc. Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating API Financial Solutions, Inc., which recently sent notice of a security incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the security incident arose on or about June 28, 2023, when an unauthorized individual may have accessed or potentially acquired a limited number of API Financial Solutions documents.

API Financial Solutions reported that the security incident impacted 71,886 individuals.

For each of these 71,886 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, and/or financial account information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
