Arietis Health, LLC MOVEit Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Arietis Health, LLC, which recently sent notice of a Security Incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Security Incident arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that Arietis Health uses called MOVEit.

Arietis Health reported that the Security Incident impacted 294,233 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these impacted individuals, the information involved may have included names, dates of birth, driver’s license or other state identification card numbers, addresses, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, patient account numbers, health insurance information, diagnosis and treatment information, clinical and prescription information, and/or provider information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
