BankGloucester MOVEit Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating BankGloucester, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the data breach arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that BankGloucester’s vendor, Darling Consulting Group, uses called MOVEit.

BankGloucester reported that the data breach impacted 19,283 individuals.

For each of these 19,283 individuals, the information involved may have included their names, Social Security numbers and/or financial account numbers.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
