CLEAResult Consulting, Inc. MOVEit Data Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating CLEAResult Consulting, Inc., which recently sent a Notification of Data Security Incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Security Incident arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that CLEAResult used called MOVEit.

CLEAResult reported that the data breach impacted 12,723 individuals.

For each of these 12,723 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, financial account information, and/or taxpayer identification number

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
