NTT DATA Americas, Inc. MOVEit Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating NTT DATA Americas, Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the data breach arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that NTT DATA Americas, Inc.’s service provider uses called MOVEit.

NTT DATA Americas, Inc. reported that the Data Breach impacted 308,072 individuals.

For each of these 308,072 individuals, the information involved may have included their names, Social Security numbers and/or dates of birth.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
