Sovos Compliance LLC MOVEit Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Sovos Compliance LLC, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the data breach arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that Sovos Compliance LLC’s service provider uses called MOVEit.

Sovos Compliance LLC reported that the data breach impacted 215,114 individuals.

For each of these 215,114 individuals, the information involved may have included their name and driver’s license number or non-driver identification card number.

It is unclear whether or not the driver’s license numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
