EMS Management and Consultants Inc.(“EMS|MC”) MOVEit Data Event

Maxey Law Firm is investigating EMS Management and Consultants Inc. (“EMS|MC”), which recently sent notice of a Data Event to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Event arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that Radius Global Solutions uses called MOVEit.

EMS|MC reported that the Data Event impacted 223,598 individuals.

For impacted individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of transport, Social Security number, date of birth, financial account information, encounter/transport number, billing codes, and/or other patient information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
