FEI Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating FEI.com, Inc. dba FEI Systems, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

FEI reported that the data breach may have impacted 2,728 Texas residents. Residents of other states may have been impacted as well.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name of individual; Social Security number; health insurance information; and/or date of birth.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
