Great Bay Distributors Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Great Bay Distributors, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that on or about December 16, 2023, Great Bay became aware of suspicious activity in its network, during which an unknown actor gained access to certain parts of its network and may have accessed or acquired information relating to certain individuals.

Great Bay Distributors reported that the data breach may have impacted 2,762 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
