Nissan North America (“NNA”) Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Nissan North America (“NNA”), which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that Nissan learned on November 7, 2023 that it was the victim of a targeted cyberattack, during which an unauthorized actor may have accessed, viewed, or removed documents.

Nissan reported that the data breach may have impacted 53,038 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
