Inteplast Group Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Inteplast Group, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that Formosa Plastics Corporation manages certain Inteplast data as a vendor to Imteplast and that as a result of a security incident at Formosa in early March 2024, a portion of Inteplast’s company data, including a limited amount of personal information, was accessed without authorization.

Inteplast reported that the data breach may have impacted 7,717 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
