Lamont Hanley & Associates Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Lamont Hanley & Associates, Inc. (“LH”), which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that on June 20, 2023, LH discovered one employee email account was accessed by an unauthorized party.

LH reported that the data breach may have impacted 11,484 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, and date of birth.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
