Interface, Inc. Data Event

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Interface, Inc., which recently sent notice of a Data Event to impacted individuals. The notice states that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and/or acquired a limited amount of information stored on Interface’s systems between October 15, 2022, and November 20, 2022.

Interface, Inc. reported that the Data Event affected 14,776 individuals.

For each of these 14,776 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, driver’s license card number, financial account information, and/or payment card information.

The notice does not state whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
