Johnson Financial Group (“JFG”) MOVEit Data Security Incident
Maxey Law Firm is investigating Johnson Financial Group (“JFG”), which recently sent notice of a Data Security Incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Security Incident arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that JFG’s vendor uses called MOVEit.
JFG reported that the Data Security Incident impacted 93,093 individuals.
For each of these 93,093 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, email address, address, phone number, account number, Social Security number, date of birth, driver’s license number, credit card number, and debit card number.
It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
