Lakeview Health Systems Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Lakeview Health Systems, LLC, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that on or around January 25, 2024, Lakeview discovered certain unusual activity within its computer systems, during which a limited amount of protected health information may have been accessed.

Lakeview reported that the data breach may have impacted 548 Texas residents. Residents of other states, including Florida, may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, financial account number, patient ID, medical treatment information, diagnosis or conditions, prescription information, and/or health insurance information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
