Toshiba America Business Solutions Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that a data security incident occurred that potentially involved personal information.

Toshiba America Business Solutions reported that the data breach may have impacted 312 Texas residents. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
