Urban Strategies Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Urban Strategies, LLC, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that an unknown, unauthorized third party accessed Urban Strategies’s computer systems between February 22, 2024, and March 13, 2024, and encrypted some of Urban Strategies’ computer files. The investigation also determined that the third party may have accessed and acquired certain files from Urban Strategies’ systems during this period.

Urban Strategies reported that the data breach may have impacted 3,230 Texas residents. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license/state ID number, passport number, financial account number, health insurance information, and/or medical information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
