Life Management Center of Northwest Florida, Inc. (“LMC”) Data Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Life Management Center of Northwest Florida, Inc. (“LMC”), which recently sent a Notice of Data Security Incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Security Incident arose when an unauthorized actor accessed certain files and data stored within LMC’s systems.

LMC filed a report stating that the information of 19,107 individuals was affected in the Data Security Incident.

For each of these 19,107 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, medical treatment and/or diagnosis information, and/or health insurance information.

The notice does not state whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
