MidFirst Bank Data Security Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating MidFirst Bank, which recently reported a data security breach to the Texas Attorney General.

MidFirst Bank reported that the data security breach affected 20,479 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may also have been affected.

For each of these 20,479 individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number information, and/or financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number).

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security number information and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
