Premium Mortgage Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Premium Mortgage Corporation (“PMC”), which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that on or about August 31, 2023, PMC discovered suspicious activity occurring on certain parts of its computer system and that, in connection with the suspicious activity, there was unauthorized access to certain PMC business email accounts between August 24, 2023 and August 31, 2023.

PMC reported that the data breach may have impacted 10,835 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, payment card information, and financial account information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
