Regal Securities Data Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Regal Securities, which recently sent a Notice of Data Security Incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Security Incident arose when some information stored on its systems may have been compromised.

Regal Securities reported that the Data Security Incident affected 18,970 individuals.

For each of these 18,970 individuals, the information involved may have included their name and/or driver’s license number.

The notice does not state whether or not the driver’s license numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
