Security 1st Title Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Security 1st Title which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that Security 1st discovered unauthorized access to its network occurred on or around September 19, 2022, during which a limited amount of personal information may have been removed from our network in connection with this incident.

LoanCare reported that the data breach impacted 1,316,938 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their full name and one or more of the following: Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers or state identification numbers, financial account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, passport numbers, and/or medical information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
