SouthState Bank Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating SouthState Bank, N.A., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

SouthState Bank reported that the data breach may have impacted 7,788 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, and financial account information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
