Stockman Bank MOVEit Cyber Security Incident

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Stockman Bank, which recently sent a notice of a cyber security incident to impacted individuals. The notice states that the cyber security incident arose from a vulnerability in a file transfer application that Stockman Bank uses called MOVEit.

Stockman Bank reported that the cyber security incident impacted 5,115 individuals.

For impacted individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, and/or account number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
