Sysmex Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Sysmex America, Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

The notice states that between March 1, 2024 and March 3, 2024, an unauthorized third party used access to Sysmex’s network to access certain files stored on its systems.

Sysmex reported that the data breach may have impacted 2,896 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, banking information, and date of birth.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
