The WorkPlace, Inc. Data Breach

Maxey Law Firm is investigating The Workplace, Inc., which recently sent notice of a Data Breach to impacted individuals. The notice states that the Data Breach arose when a limited amount of personal information on The Workplace’s computer systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party.

The Workplace, Inc. reported that the Data Breach affected 29,809 individuals.

For each of these 29,809 individuals, the information involved may have included their name and/or Social Security.

The notice does not state whether or not the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
